AQUEDUCT STAKES. The Queens County Jockey Club will enjoy the distinction of opening and closing racing in the immediate vicinity of New York. From an humble beginning its Aqueduct track has grown into honorable recognition in the list of courses that contribute to the enjoyment of the sport-loving element of the Metropolis. For its meeting it has opened a liberal list of stakes to close March 1. They are as follows : For two-year-olds : Rose Stakes, fillies, 00 added, 4 1-2 furlongs. Canarsie Stakes, selling, 00 added, 4 1-2 furlongs. Ozone Stakes, selling, 00 added, 4 1-2 furlongs. Jamaica Stakes, selling, 00 added, 5-8 mile. For three-year-olds : The Arverne Stakes, 00 added, about 7-8 mile. For three-year-olds and upward: The Carter Handicap, 51,000 added, about 7-8 mile. Rockaway Stakes, Selling, 00 added, 3-4 mile. Flushing Stakes, Selling, 00 added, 1 1-16 miles.
