NOTES OF THE TDRF. Artillery is now the property of Rancho del Paso, having been purchased from his owner, Mr. Parsons, of New Zealand. Mr. Bourne, the agent of Mr. Parsons, returned to the colonies after making the sale. The terms were private. Artillery had been at Rancho del Paso under a lease. Pearl Thorn, dam of Counter Tenor, First Tenor and Pearl Song, has foaled a fine chestnut colt, by Meddler. If he follows in the footsteps of his noted half-brothers this youngster will be well-known to patrons of racing two or three years hence. The three-year-old Bangor, by Belvidere Zara, of whom much was expected last year, but who did not do much, has grown into a remarkably fine looking, powerful young horse and it may be that this is his year to shine. J. W. Rogers string, in chargt of W. McCann, are all doing nicely, and are, with the exception of Tillo, who runs out in a paddock during the day, being exercised out on the roads every , day. Golden Buckle, Lexicon, Big Gun, Back Talk and Little Squaw are the names of some two year-olds that are expected to figure in the win ning division at Aqueduct next month. Whitcomb and Tom Cromwell aro to bo sold shortly. Dr. Bo well, their present owner, saya they must go to make room for the two-year-old, division. Breeder and Sportsman.
