INGLESIDE IS IN PERIL. San Feancisco, Cal., March 13. The Board of Supervisors of San Francisco today passed the ordinance, which will stop racing at Ingleside, unless Mayor Pholan vetoes it. He is a democrat and is not likely to do so. The ordinance reads as follows: Section 1. It shall bs unlawful to sell pools, or to make books, or to make bets or wagers, wherein money or other articles of value are staked or pledged on races or other contests between horses within the inclosure of a race track, or in any other place in or within this city and county. Sec. 2. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons, manager, or proprietor, or corporation, owning or controlling any racetrack, or any person or persons in or within any other place in this city and county, to permit the sale of pools or books or wagers wherein money or other articles of value are staked on horses or other contests between horses in this city and county, or elsewhere. Sec. 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this order shall be deemed guilty of misdemeanor, and upon conviction therof, shall be punished by fine of not more than 00, or by imprisonment of not more than six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Sec. 4. All orders or parts of orders in conflict with the provisions of this order are hereby repealed.
