JOCKEY CLUB PROCEEDINGS. The Btewards of the Jockey Club held a busy tession at New York Thursday and disposed of a lot of matters bearing on the coming turf session. Present at the meeting ware August Belmont, F. E. Hitchcock, Andrew Miller and F. K. Sturgis. An important question regarding the importation of pure Arab blood stock was considered, and the following resolution was adopted: "Resolved, That the registration of pure Arab 3 be accepted in the stud book, to be classified under the head of Arabs. Such A abs, if imported, must either have been recognized by stud book abroad as pure Arabs or whose pedigrees for five generations are certified to by a Sheik, If bred in this country, to be descendants of such horses." The following list of officials appointed for the Washington Jockey Club meeting was approved : Starter. Mars Cassidy; judge, Clarence Mc-1 Dowell; handicapper, W. S. Vosburgh; clerk of the scales, H. G. Crickmore; paddock and patrol judge, J. L. Hall; timer, W. H. Barretto. Samuel Ross was appointed official steward to represent the Jockey Club at the Washington meeting, and the appointment of S. S. Howland and Jesse Brown as associate stewards was approved. The following list of officials appointed for the Queens County Jockey Club meeting was aho approved: Starter, C. H. Pettingill; judge, William C. Cozier; handicapper, W. 8. Vosburgh was appointed official Bteward to represent the Jockey Club at the meeting. The bill of George W. Salter, M. D., for professional services rendered to trainer Albert Cooper, was approved and ordered paid. The applications for reinstatement lodged by jockey John G. Dorse? and trainers John Croker and Luke Tally were denied. The application of Andrew Fagan for the reinstatement of the bay gelding Sprite was denied. The bay mare, Empress Peyton, by Circassian Fannie Peyton, was declared eligible to race on all courses under Jockey Club jurisdiction. Jockey George C. Cox was restored to all privileges under the Jockey Club rules. The following licenses were granted : Jockeys Herbert Hadley, Robert Lewis, F.
