NOTES OF THE TURF. Secretary Charles F. Price, of the New Louisville Jockey Club, who has been filling the position of presiding steward at Oakland, left San Francisco for home Saturday. That his service has given satisfaction is attested by the fact that he has re-engaged to act in a similar capacity dnring the meeting of next fall and winter. Barney Schreiber will dispose of a great many of his horses before he goes back to St. Louis. Caesar Young has bought Good Hope for ,500. Duke and Wishard are negotiating for Jinks. Barney has a lot of two-year-oldB and be wants to make room for them.— Tribune. Gene Leigh has sent some twenty horses to Newport and May Hempstead and Admiration to Memphis. Burns and Waterhouse have presented Bliss Rucker to M. J. Daly. Greyhurst was badly cut down in his race at Oakland last Friday.
