NOTES OF THE TURF. Perion, Olindo and Becky Rolfe, Mr. F. Geb-hards string of steeplechase horses, broke winter-quarters at Westbury. L. I , Saturday, and located at Sheepsbead Bay course. Becky Rolfe, so long a disappointment on the flat, bids fair to rate well over tbe obstacles. Joseph Ullmau is in the city, fresh from West Baden, where he spent a short season in recuperating after a lively winter campaign at Hot Springs, Ark. He leaves for the east ehortly, and will begin booking at the Aqueduct tracks. Many improvements are in progress at the Brighton Beach race track. The grandstand is being repaired inside ana eut, and the management contemplates spending a lot of money before the gallopers get down their way. The following declarations from the Carter handicap, to be run at Aqueduct on tbe 17th inst, have been received :— A thanas, LAlonette, Alpen, Dr. Eichberg and Swiftmas. William Bruen is to wield the flag at St. Louis this year, the announcement to that effect having been promulgated by President Anil. Jockey Ruiz has been added to the list of "indefinitely suspended" at Oakland: cause — a bad looking ride on Benamela.
