He was outran on the far tnrn bnt easily overhauled Mission in the stretch. The latter ran a greatly improved race over the one of the day before. Ravecswood is a grand looker. He should improve from this race. Frangible ran green It was all Flick could do to keep him from running into the* fence on the far tnrn. Both Jeff and Nathan Hale tried to run out. Winner— Ch. g, by Long Taw— Meddle. Post 6 minutes Start fair. Won in a long, hard drive of two. Maceo was the best but Clay cleverly outflnished T. Knight. The pair had it nip and tuck the last furlong. Meddler is good and seemed to possess more gameness than ever before. He is nowhere near as bad an actor at the post as he nsed to be. Maceo had plenty of spead and at one stage in the stretch seemed to be winning Knight did his best but was not heavy enough to help much at the finish. Little Singer ran a cracking good race. She was practically left at the post and made up a lot of ground. Uncle Ahb wai bumped and jostled at the start and knocked out of it. He came with a rush at the end. Kamsins wind is affected. He looked to have a chance at the head of the stretch but quit badly at the end. Stanza acted badly at the post. Overweights — Bl odhound, 3 pounds. Corrected weights— Cochise, 109. Winner— Ch. g, by Kallicrates— Paradox. Off at first break to a good start. Won eased up; second very easily. Myth had speed to • loan and lost his field going the first half. He is in rare form just now and was in a oft spot. • Marito got the place as easily as Myth won. Vitatoe saw he had no chance, so did not urge the I filly the last quarter. Admetus was hard ridden all the way. He ran a dull race. Dalgretti made 8 bid on the far turn, but fell away again. Udah is best at the jumping game. Winner— B. c, by Daniel— Blue Bells Post 4 minutes, Start good. Won easily after an early drive. Blue Lick was much the best. . He was interfered with on the back stretch au1 obliged to take the long route. Flick punished 1 him haid from the half-mile post to the head of the stretch, after that the colt had everything Ins own way. Thanksgiving was about the only one in the race that was not interfered with. This explains her being so far in front the first oart of it. She quit on the turn for home, but t came again under Vitatoes hard punishment. Cuirassier ran a fair race, and Crossmolina a i bad one. The former pulled up lame. Bright Night was bumped into and almost knocked down 1 at the start. Nailer went to the post lame. Corrected weights— Long Dandy, 95. Bine Lick, place, out. Thanksgiving, place, 5 to 1; show, 8 to 5. Winner— B. h, by Linden— Verbena. Post 3 minutes. Start good. Won cleverly ; second and third were driving. Frank Thompson a was a good horse today. He was off last and obliged to run around his field. Judging from this s performance he will be a hard horse to beat from now on. He could have won further off. Donna Rita, badly outrun the first part of it, finished with a tremendous rush. She does not like e weight, Hosi ran an excellent race. The ride on him was very bad. This horse is good and can n win when placed right. Fonclif was short. He was off flying, and had he been ready might have ■ wou. This race will do him good. Stockholm showed considerable speed. He was lost, though, 1, when the real racing began in the stretch. Scratched— 11489 Harry Nntter, 97. Frank Thompson, place, 3 to 5; show, out. Donna Rita, place, evens; show, 1 to 2. Wild West got a a hying start and was never in trouble. Nutt took no chances, though, and wou as far off as he e could. Pool ran a fair race and can win from the same kind. Cherry Bounce II. was worn out t chasing Wild West the first part of it. It was a poor lot and the first three always had it between themselves. The Plutocrat seems to be of no account.
