NOTES OF THE TURF. In the advertising department of Daily Racing Form will be found an announcement calling the attention of bookmakers to the meeting of the Ontario Jockey Club which opens at Toronto next Saturday. The Toronto meeting is pre-eminently the most fashionable and successful of all annually held in Canada, the attendance and speculation alike being remarkable. F. H. Haskins and Co., Hamilton, Ont., are prepared to furnish all desired information. Fifteen regular and two field books catered to the wants of the speculative public at St. Louis Saturday, Hugh Jones, Barney Schreiber, Caesar Young, "Virginia" Carroll, J. E, Hittick, L. A. Cella, Sam May, Frank Carr, Fred Koch. Cole Ullman, Hiram Argo and other well-known bookies were in line in the big ring. Sixty foals have been dropped at McGratbiana this year— thirty-one colts and twenty-nine fillies. f j - . . 9 J I 1 1 , 1 1
