NOTES OF THE TURF. While being exercised Saturday morning at Morris Park the two-year-old colt Helmsman, by His Highness, the property of John Daly, ran into the fence on the Withers mile and ..broke Ins shoulder. He had to be destroyed. Fridays San Francisco Chronicle says: "A . carload of horses was shipped to St. Louis last . night. In the consignment were Naglee Burkes 1 Glissando, Giga, Rosormonde and DaniHan-lons • Sly. The balance of Hugh Jones stable , was also shipped. Turner had a long lead among the winning , jockeys at Louisville, having put eighteen first t past the post. Jon Hill rode twelve winners; • Beauchamp and Kuhn, eight each ; Holden, six ; ; Coniey, Crowhurst and H uck, five each; Aker, 1 j four; Overton, three and Carter Jand Dnpee, two each.
