Winner— Ch. h, by Seguin— Lula Bakar. Off at flrst break to a good start. Wou easily. It was a hard drive for the place. John Baker was a good horse today and finely bandied. Bloss took a long chance and got through a small opening on the first turn and after that had things his own way. Nathanson ran a splendid race. Clay saved a lot of ground with him on the 9 tretch turn. This race should put him on edge. Donna Rita is a bad racing proposition. She is nowhere near herself and seemed to prop the first part of the journey, she came with a rattle, though, at the end, and taking everything into consideration, about ran her race. The early pace was too mucn for Harry Nutter and he bolted to the extreme outside in the stretch. Alma Glyn ran a good race. The others were far outclassed and haraly worth mentioning. John Biker, place, 7 to 10; show, out. Nathanson, place, 4 to 1; show, evens. Donna Rita, place, 1 to 2; show, out. Harry Nutter, place, 7 to 10; show, out. 1 ~61~Q £ SECOND BACK— 4 l-« Furlongs. Won hand ridden and all out; second and third were driving hard. Cheesestraw is a good filly. She is a quick breaker and got somewhat the best of the send-off. She was away running while Grlgsby propped a trifle before he got on his stride. He is extremely game and responded to punishment from the head of the stretch to the wire. In fact he got the place through sheer gameuess Unsightly is a shifty filly. She was right there all the way. The first three outclassed the others. Dr. Tarr got all tangled up at the start and never got fairly straightened out. Cheesestraw, place, 2 to 5; show, out. John Grigsby, place, 1 to 3; show, out. Winner— Ch. g, by Harry OFallon— May Kennedy. Post 17 minutes. Start fair. Won cleverly; second and third were driving hard. OConnell had all of his speed and ran a smashing good race. He had a big pull in the weights and the long delay at the post was all in his favor. He looked high in flesh and hardly fit, so this race ought to do him a lot of good. Old Saugus ran above his mark. He swerved clear across the track at the head of the stretch under punishment, but when straightened out, finished very strong. Abuse is not at his best. He, too, swerved when the whip was applied. Little Duke and Miss Rossington only served to cause a disturbance in the race. Neither had a possible chance, but were the cause of the long delay at the post. Overweights— Abase, 2 pounds. OConnell, place, out. Old Saugus, place, 6 to 5; show, out. Abuse, place, out. Won handily on the end after an early drive ; second cleverly ; third and fourth were driving to the limit. The Devil outclassed his field. He ran a good race and will do better. On th j turn for home Fonclif put him to a drive, but he responded in an instant and drew away from the others as though they were tied. Fonclif ran a good race and can win when placed right. Yours Truly is a consistent performer. He got third place in the very last stride. Locust Blossom ran in improved form. H. Brown, with Necedah, took a long chance to get tbrouKh on the flrst turn. Uncle Abb ran a bad race. He can do better. There was consiaerabie civwding on the first turn. Corrected weights— Yours Trulj, 106. The Devil, place, out. Fonclif, place, evens; show. 2 to 5. It was a very pretty finish and both boys rode well. Brsw Lad was stepping and Kamsin was coming at the finish. The latter would have won in a few more strides. Braw Lads sudden awakeningwas a shock to form. He was beaten by a very inferior lot bis last out. Old Kamsin is good now and seems to be more consistent than of late. The way Meddler and Braw Lad turn the tables on one another is per-; plexing. The former ran his race considering the terrific pace that was set the early part of it. Miss Ross was right there all the way. She is in winning form. Goose Liver did well considering it was his flrst out this year. There was too much speed for Clara Meader. The winner was entered to be sold for 00 but was raised to ,200 by L. H. Ezell. He was bought in by his owners for ,205. Braw Lad, place, evens; show, 1 to 3. Kamsin, place, 21 to 1; show, evens. Little Singer was the best and ran right to the notch. She was lucky and well handled. Narvaez took no chances and watched to the right and left coming through the stretch. It was a close thing for second place. Both Bright Night and Fintan ran good races. The former had a rough journey. Udah did well. Martha Fox and Weird raced each other to exhaustion the first live furlongs. Both are fast but quitters. Scratched— 12155 Radaire, 108. Overweights— Crossmolina, 5 pounds.
