NOTES OF THE TURF. A typographical error made the closing odds on Meddler in the fifth race at Lakeside Tuesday read 13 to 10 when 13 to 20 was the correct quotation. Steeplechase Jockey Horton, who was on Ten-tore when he fell while running in the Grand National Steeplechase at Morris Park Saturday, was so injured that he died Sunday night. Jockey Aker has been released from his contract to ride for W. H. May and Son, and will ride for W. M. Wallace for the remainder of the season.
