Winner— Br. f, by Bramble— Mary Conroy. Post 6 miDutes. Start poor. Won eased up; second cleverly; third and fourth driving. Zaza was much the best and spread-eagled her field. She has phenomenal speed and Judging • from this rac- can go on. Huronia ran a good race. She was all tangled up at the start and in : a pocket until the stretch was reached. She then finished strongly. The same comment applies to Miss Fee. Laura G G was heavily played, but ran a bad race. She acted green at the past and swerved from oue side to the other in the stretch. This Ally works well, but seems afraid of : other horses and will not extend herself in a race. Erla dOr has speed. Mark her. She is a good looker and can win in a maiden race. Scratched— 12150 Wasanta, 101. Overweights— Miss Fee, 3 pounds. Zaza, place, 8 to 5; show, 4 to 5. Huronia, place. 4 to 5: show, 1 to 3. Miss Fee, show, 4 to 1. Laura G. G , place, 1 to 2; show, ont. Winner— Ch. m, by Sir Dixon— Retreat. Oil at first break to a good start. Won easily; second, third and fourth ware under keen pressure. Necedahs win was a strong form reversal. She ran far above her recent mark and ran a good race, making up a lot of ground from the head of the baekstretch home. Locust Blossom ran to her mark. Donna Rita did not. The latter seems to be stale and of no present account. She ran in blinkers today. There was no strong pace the first part of the race. Alma Glyn was jumped on end injured. Cyril stopped to a walk at the finish. It was a bad race. Scratched - 12239 Fonclif, 110; 12130 Oualaska, 112. Corrected weights— Donna Rita, 107. Necedab, place, 6 to 1; show. 3 to 1. Winner— Br. f, by King Eric— Cleopatra. Post 5 minutes. Start good. Won eased up ; second whipped out; third and fourth driving bard. Charmante had an easy thing of it. She was under restraint in behind Hop Scotch to the bead of the stretch and then passed him as though he was tied. The filly could have won off by herself had Gray chosen. Ftntan stopped on the far turn but came again at the end. Marco Polo was off on the outside and obliged to take the long route. He is a hard-luek horse. Hop Scotch was off flying and had no excuses. He is simply a rank quitter. Scratched— 12216 Flirtation, 102. Overweights— Bilbro, 2 pounds. Charmante, place, 2 to 1 ; show, evens. Fintan, place, 8 to 5 ; show, 4 to 5. Marco Polo, show, 1 to 2. Winner— Ch. g, by Rossington— Belle of Nantura, Off at first break to a good start. Won under a double pull ; second and third whipped ont. Robert Bonner bad speed to loan, and ran by far the best race. Brown had him out in the middle of the track all the way and lost considerable ground on every turn. The horse tried to run out at the head of the stretch and the boy had to whip him over the head to keep him in. This race was a vast improvement over Bonners last. Then he stopped before going a mile. Dr. Marks could never get up. He made a strong bid on the stretch turn but died away again. Sunburst ran a fair race. The winner was entered for 00 and run up to 00 by S. S. Bender. Hia owner retained him for 05. Robert Bonner, place, evens. Dr. Marks, place, out. Winner— Br. f, by Pursebearer— Hira Villa. Off at first break to a poor start. Won in a long, hard drive of two; third eased up. It was a fighting finish with much bumping all through the stretch. First Past was the bent, but was probably a trifle short and hung at the end. It wonld be hard to tell which caused the bumping through the stretch, and as neither of the boys complained, the judges overlooked it. Clay rode a powerful finish on the winner. Georgetown II. ran an excellent race, and, barring accidents, wonld probably have won. McNickles stirrup strap broke in the stretch, and he was obliged to pull the colt up. Indian was sharply cut off at the start. Ravenswood suffered from the same cause on the stretch turn. Scratched— 12240 Man of Honor, 108. Unsightly, place, 7 to 10; show, out. Winner— B. f, by Russell— Fresco. Post 12 minutes. Start good. Won cleverly; The next three were driving. Free Hand had 1 the most speed of the party and was the best. She is a useful filly. Pauline J. was right there i all the way and ran a good, honest race. J. J. T. ran his race. So did Rosavannah. The latter r _ ■tumbled and almost went down at the start. Bat for this she would have at least been third and might have given the winner an argument. Eva Wilson ran a vile race. She suffered though from bad handling. Clay got away well bnt instead of going on about his business he restrained the filly and the consequence was he got sharply shut off at the half mile ground. Free Hand, place, 8 to 5; show, 4 to 5.
