He showed remarkable speed but was too much used and tired at the end under the weight. Armament is very fit and had a lot in hand at the end. Dr. Parker ran a good race. St. Clair waa speedy but tired in the stretch. Sanders seems tobe going back. Sensational will do to watch in a slower field. Toluca ran a bad race, throw it out. Lambent did not show a particle of speed and ran a very bad race. Watch Momentum. Both he and Continental got easy races. Kirkwood ran a good game race and is quite a useful colt. Estaca showed much improvement and will do to follow from now on, especially in mud. Merry Prince looks very good, but is not quite up to a hard race yet. Watch him. Tyr Shena ran a fair race. Concord was raced hard with the leaders the first part and collapsed in the stretch. He had a lot of speed. His Royal Highness was clearly outrun. He did not run his race at all and may not like the turns. Kitchener collapsed at the half-way point. Shoreham and Withers are both good in any company but that of tbe top-notchers. Neither Waring nor Homestretch showed a particle of t peed, though both have worked very fast. Don dOro closed ground in the stretch but could Dot hold his Dosition tiring in the last sixteenth. Bangle closed strongly. Algol is good but could not statd the terrific pace with such weight up. Ben Holladay tailed off at the start and could ne ver get up The delay at the post hurt his chances. George Keene had speed to burn but was not ready for this route.
