I t 1 i NOTES OF THE TURF. Macy, Charles Vestals recent purchase, is reported to have gone lame and may have to be thrown oat of training temporarily. Macy is the horse Vestal bought of brewer Schorr for ,500. Eighty-four yearlings from Haggins stock farm in California have arrived at Monmouth Park. The horses will remain there until June 27. They are in charge of Charles Littlefield, Jr. J. E. Madden has just purchased from R. W. Waiden a two-year-old sister to Filigrane. Sha has Lsen sent to tha Hamburg establishment and will be mated with Plaudit. Jockey Powers, engaged at New Orleans last winter to ride for August Belmont, has proved a rank failure and in consequ9nce has been released. from his engagement.
