In fact, Henaon stole the race. Hamilton evidently thought he had everything beaten a hundred yards out and foolisl ly quit riding Mont Eagle. The latter was the best and only Hamiltons carelessness c st him the race Huronia ran a good race and should win soon. Jeff had no excuses. He git away well and was well ridden. Inlook gut away flying and showed a lot of speed. The weight, though, told on him and he quit badly in the stretch. Mark Creation. He ran a better race than the figures show. Serrano was heavily played and as the race was run. was much the b»st. He was under restraint all the way. B»auehamp became careless at the head of the stretch and eased the horse up. This almost cost him the race, for Hugh Pennv cams through with a rush on the inside and put Serrano to a mild drive at the end. Hugh Penny seemed stiff and sore going to the post. He warmed out of it. however, and about ran his race. Prince Blazes ran to the notch. He is a consistent perform r The others were outclassed and hardly worth noticing.
