BROOKLYN JOCKEY CLUB STAKES. Secretary Hugh D. Mclntyre of the Brooklyn Jockey Club has announced a list of stakes to close Aug. 15 that must prove very captivating to owners of good racehorses. Some are for the. approaching autumn meeting, some for events to be decided next year, and three, the Brooklyn Derby, Carlton Stakes and Gazelle Btakes, are for the three-year-olds of 1901. The fall list is as follows : To be run at the fall meeting 1899: For all ages: Oriental Handicap, ,500; 1 1-4 miles. Occidental Handicap, ,500; 1 1-8 miles. First Special, ,500; 1 1-4 miles.
