Off at the brst break to a fair start. Won in a mild drive; the next three were driving hard. Mitten, well placed throughout, came with a well-timid ruth through the stretch. She is a fairly good filly cf the improving kind. The weight seemed to anchor Clan Wooley when the pinch came. At that she ran a fcood, honest race. Azua was dull of speed. She could not got to going the first part of it. Zeriba got a listless ride. Nina B. L. stopped to a walk in the stretch. Belle of the Glen got a bad Bend-off. - Scratched 13750 Maharajah, 113. Winner B: f, by Ragnarok Georgie M. Off at the first break to a good start. Won handily; second whipped out; third and fourth were a riving hard. Georgie had the foot of the arty and ran a clever race, fche was never fully extended. Free Hand is an honest filly. She was lucky and well ridden. Crowhurst took the shortest route, but was lncky to get through on the far turn. Arlington is improving. After being bumped and interfered with down the backstietch, he finished strong. Harry Thoburu showed a tine burst of speed. Aprils Lady was shut off at the start and never had a chance. She is not much at her best. Al Lone can do better. Winner Br. c, by Sir Modred Faux Pes. Off at the first break to a good start. Won cleverly. The next two were driving. Tnlane ran right back to his last race. He is a good colt that needs strong handling and Overton filled the bill. He was looking around laughing at the other boys in th6 stretch. Greatland did not make a Very impressive showing. He looked good, had clear sailing and no excuses, He seemed to outclass his opponents but ran a disappointing race. Latch Key was on the outside all the way. It was the proper place for htm as he is a big long striding colt and cannot stand interference. Semper Eadem got a miserable ride and had a very easy race. Lime Water stopped with his mouth wide open. The others are c f little or no account. Scratched 13747 Blue Lick, 112; 137282Canace, 107. Tulane, place, 7 to 5; show, 1 to 2. Winner B. g, by Simple Simon Birdie. Post 7 minutes. Start good. Won hand ridden but out to the last ounce; second, third and fourth were driving to the limit. Barton, under his heavy impost, ran a cracking good race. Hamilton rodo a good race on him, too. He saved all the ground possible and never met with a bit of interference. Teutons ran a good race. Jenkins rode him well and was gaining rapidly on Barton at the end. Everett perhaps waited too long with Gun Metal. The horse, however, seemed to try to run out all the way. TJlm was in and out and all over the track. Nutt rode him like a new beginner. There was lots of bumping and quite a bit of contention in the stretch. Correctea weights Hub Prather. S9. Lady Elite was by far the beBt and was in a soft spot. She cantered under a stout pull all the way. She is surely a grand filly. Dick Furb3r ran a good, game race. Nutt was fighting him for all he was worth, tnough, the last three eighths of a mile. The colt barely got up in time to get the place. Strathbroeck may have been short. At any rate, he hung a bit in the last fifty yards. Lomond made a strong bid on the stretch turn, but could not stand the pressure at the end. Etta went all around her field on the backstretch and showed a sharp turn of speed. Sea Rover is of no account as a rucehorje. Scratched 134042Barrack, 95. Overweights Strathbroeck, 2 pounds. Won easily; the next three were doing their best. Diggs, under clever handling, ran one of his gcod races. He was lucky throughout and iu the natural spread at the head of the stretch came through like a gentleman. Vie Lainont and Brightie S. wore each other out in the first half. Both have plenty of speed and both are quitters. Rnskin appeared .dangerous swinging into the Btretch but seemed to sulk under punishment.
