Winner B. li. by Albert Montvale. Pest 4 minutes. Start fair. Won driving bnt with something loft; the next threewere under keen pressure. The track was just Eoft enough to suit Albertvale and over it he was a good horse. Everything considered liia price was out of line. Ron Jour got n flying start bat for some unknown reason dropped back Into a bad place down the btckstretch. He was close to the rails and saved all the ground possible but Mathews had to ba very careful to prevent being shut. off. The horee wa? hampered more or less during the journey. In fact, he never had clear l sailing until the stretch was rescued. Marcato had the wcrst kind of racing luck. He was bad- ly inteifered with and obliged to pull up on the first turn. Keumore Qaeen lost a lot of ground : by making a wide stretch turn. The filly bDre out so it was not the boys fault. Tappan stopped all of a sudden sfter going three-quarters. Winner B. f, by Waosworth Modjeska. Post 5 minutes. Start good. Won handily; second, third and fourth doing their best. Merito again showed her quality. This is an extra good filly end is most consistent. Mathews rode her cleverly, and the Ally held the reca safe aU tha way. Erla dOr may have been a trifle short. At any rate she hung a bit in the last furlong. Strathbroeck finished very strong and ran a good race. Mark him to win soon. Avenstoke was pooily ridden and was bumped and jostied often. This certainly was not his race. Ho can bsat both Strathbroeck aud Erla dOr. The race was always between the first fonr. Winner B. c, by Falsstto Pf nummia. Off at the first break to a fair start. Won in a mild drive; the next two were driving hard. Fatherlands win was a lucky one and a scratch. As the race was rcn Mayme M M. was far the best. She, while making her move on the far turn was cut cil and obliged to pull up. She is a slow going filly that cann t stand interference and this cost hef the race. From the head of the stretch home the filJy made up a lot of ground. Gun Metal finished stoutly. Hub Prather and Arlington both quit badly under pressure at the end.- Teutons speed perhaps was dulled by his race in the mud at Harlem Saturday. Boland did not ride him any too well. Overweights. Winner Br. f, by Bramble Calodonia. Off at the first break to a good 6tart. Won very easily; the other two were whipping. Al-gareta was never folly extended. She galloped Benneville into submission in the first half and then canteied for the remainder of the journey. She is a grand mare at present. No matter how fast a pace is set she is always right there. Benneville ran one of his good races. Goebel did bstter than he did in his lass race and the chances are that he will improve from this one. He ij a very spsedy horse but has had a long lot-up which seems to have temporarily impaired his speed. Scratched 13815 Rosa L 95; 13108 Montgomery, 107. My Valentine is a good fencer, was best ridden and won strictly on his merits. Ruy rides an excellent race thiough the field, fie has the knack of helping a horse when he comes to an obstruction. Zufallig ran gamely. Kidd whipped him through the last three-quarters of a mile. Clifton R. seems to ba improving at this game. Considering it was Princots Murphy i initial at-: tempt over tho sticks she ran finely and fenced to perfection. Boanerges seemod to sulk. His showing v.as a disappointment, bo w as Laura Mays. Serrano was far the boot and in a soft fpot. Everything considered his price was a royal ono. Tho trouk was a trifle deep down the backstrotch ana consequently a handicap to him. Crowhurst, however, did not urge tho horso to keep up, but when the good footing wbb reached on the fer turn he passed tho horses in front of him as though they were stationery. Silver Tono had more speed than ho did in his last raco at Harlem. Tho distance was a trifle too far for him. Kastaino finished with a tremendous ruth. Maik her for early action on a fast treck. Three Bnrs tired badly. So did Jim McClevy. Plantains race was not to tho mark. .
