Ho was rated cleverly in a good position all tbo way and came away on call in the stretch. Owjhee got sharply cut off at the start and dropped far back. He made ap a lot of ground and finished strongly. Little Jack Horner and Cheessmite both qnit under pressure at the end. Clarence T. snowed speed. Bonneville liked the hard track and ran one of his bast races. He ia a good horee now and cami from behin-i gamely. Maceo made a strong bid in the stretch, but could not quite get up. He was well ridden in next to the rail and saved all the ground possible. Can-ova may have been a trifle short. He had plenty of spaed, bat hung when the pinch came. Helens Pet was raced into submission in the first half by Canova. She iB a faint-hearted filly. Galileo ran a gooa race for him. So did Jim McCleevy. He took the shortest route and when ttie pinch came responded gamely to Boses call. Marcato had no excuses and made a good b bowing. Jolly Roger was stiff and sore in his preliminary and ran below his notch. He interfered repeatedly with Gadsden through the stretch, carrying the latter to the extreme outside. Clifton B. as usual was right there He is a consistent performer. Considering the weight be had up Jack Heyes did well. Chenier stumbled and almost fell at the eighth obstruction. But for this he would have been a keen contender. Fair Deceiver had the most speed and held the race safe all the way. She is a fairly good filly. In this race ehe handled tbo weight and went the route in a surprising way. Tappan finished gamely under punishment. He came from nowhere in the stretch and got second place in the last stride. Bon Jon r ran gamely. Celtic Bard hung at the end. He had a lot of bad racing luck early. Lew Hopper ran as if short. Pacemaker will do to watch. Tony -Licalzi bolted just as the barrier went un but Beauchamp kept right on with him and the colt showed quits a lot of speed.
