Winnr Ch. f, by Order Hanoletta. Post 33 minutes. Start fair. Won pulled to a walk; second easily; third and fourth driving hard. The going was made to order for Orletta. She was fortunate in gettirg a flying start and had by far the most spead. The price on her was far out of line. This was becau-e there was a heavy play on Medford. It was rumored that bo was far better than Pnrmenion, but judging from this race he is not. Still he was much used at the post aud ran far oat in every breakaway, and this may have hurt him. He is a good looker and will bear watching. Fair American was. most saved during the long delay. This accounts for her being second. Homer C. Davenport ran a fine race. Mark him for early action on a muddy track. The delay tired out Donna Anita. Tame Mouse ran away five furlongs at too spend two d fferent times. Winner B. c, by Florist Mary Louise. Post 6 minutes. Start good. Won pulled to a walk; the next two were driving. There was nothing to the race. Tom Middleton was a "good thing" and won like a horse of good class. Kalmia and Brown Dick were hard at it all through the stretch. Brown Dick was swerving all over the stretch. Ramler quit badly at the end. The field was badly strung out all the way. Rumor has it that Tom Middleton had worked a mile and a quarter in 2:08. Ovr weights Royal Escort. 4 pounds; Bridgeford, 11. Won eased up: second whipped out and swerving all over the track. Mav Beach carried Golden Rule so fast in the first half that it broke bis heart. The filly was at her best and fairl flew for. tho first half. Burns showed some orfty jockeying on her by leaning no asraiasc and carrying Golden Rule out on all th turns. Little Dominick, who rode the latter, was no help to him ana was lucky to stay on. He turned the colts head looa in the stretch and resorted to the whip. This is what made Golden Rule swerve so Marion Sansom was in where she did not belong. Capron was excused on account of tha con dition of the track.
