Won hand ridden; second and third were dointr their bsst. Florinel II. was fortunate in getting off, liked the going and had little or no tronble in winning. Antoniotta was too much used eatly and at the end she was staggering. This is a fnirly good filly but seems to be always in bid luck. Kictie G. broke from behind flying and had no excuseB. CaBtino ran a good rece. The field stiurg out early and at the finish was spread all over the track. Form to be extracted from this finish amounts to little or nothing. Post 4 minutes. Start good. Won very eaeily; second and third were driviDg. Hosi evidently had been speoially prepared for this race and won as ho pleased. Trotter rode a cood even race on him. Pete Kitchen plodded along at the same gait all the way and wore Long Dandy down through the stretch. The latter suffered from poor handling. Dugan wore him out in opening up a big gap after going about three-quarters and the horse had nothing left to finish with. Jack Bradloy could not get out of his own v. ay. Winner Ch. h. by Sequin Lula Baker, Off at tha first break to a good start. Won cleverly; second, third and fourth wereunder keen pressure. John Baker liked the goin?, was the best and was bast ridden, and ran a really clever race. He came from behind like a gentleman in the stretch and was going away at the finish. Verify had bad racing luck early, and this told on him when the pinch came. Mark J. H. C. He finished resolutely under weak handling. Mitchell rode a bad race on Moroni. The horse was good, and batter handled would have been a keen contender. Hop Scotch quit bndly in the stretch. So did May Beach. Ths latter could not concede the weight in the going. When Burns saw he was beaten be eased the filly up. Scratched 1460D3am Lazarus Esq-, 104; 14 602-3 Mocorito, 99, Corrected weight Moroni, 102. Ovorweiehts Lord Fairfax, 4 pounds. Monocgah is a good mudder and although not ready, he did well. He finished strong on his own courage. Florizar quit badly in the last fifty yarcs. Dutch Bard was a false alarm. Pass him up. . Ihe others were doing their best. Sam Fullen was in a soft spot and was away eff the best. He simply romped under a double pnll all the way. Bonnivaid and Decoy seemed to try to outdo one another at swerving in the stretch Both were tired enough to lie down and staggered like drnnken men. Knight v. as too light to do Tommy OBrien justice. Mitchell rode a jrood race and a strong finish. Tappan wes the best and should have -won by a big margin. M. Weber rede him badly. The price on Tappan wes awsy out of line. Molo was ehort and hung in the last twenty yards. He looked like a winner at the head of the stretch. The going was against Jackanaoes.
