Holdup took the shortest routo, was well ridden and ran the bast rice. Ramlet seemed to have bim baatcn at tha head of the stretch, bat under pressure he quit badly. Highland Prince, alter a rongh jonrney, ran a creditable race. Kyiat is a big, heavy-headed hone, and Dominick was of no help to him. Bert Davis is a bad horso. He was hard ridden all the way, but refused to extend hims-lf. It was a bad lot. Haley ran away almost half a mile in a false break, and Prince C. made two rounds of the course bsfore he could be pulled up Scratched 14418 Abusive, 93; 14568 Bridgeford, 93. Winner B. f, by Spendthrift Nuska. Post 6 minute3. Start good. The first five were driving hard. Fidel Yoaliu, under a strong ride, came like a whirlwind at the finish. Judging from this raca Fidel Youlin has the making of a good filly, especially over a distance of ground. She is game and was going away from the others at the finish. At the furlong post she eeemed to be hopelessly beaten. Maydine ran a good race. Tab her for early action. The same comment will do for Emma R. Both should graduate from the maiden class at an early date. When the route gets stretched out to three-quarters Emma M. will not do. She had a commanding lead at the head t f the stretch but quit badly. From a poor beginning and after having bad racing luck Mattie Bazar ran well. Tildy Ann was bnmped and jostled at every turn. Do not ccuut this race for her. Scratched-12914 Pride of the Barn, 1C0; 14879 Supreme, 100; 1478S La Carina, 105; 1456 May I Go, 105; 13157 Pan Jotte, 100 Overweights Marquette, 11 pounds; Syra, 1. Winner Ch. f, by Amigo Santa Monica. Post 6 minutes. Start good. Won easily; second, third and fourth driving. Mocorito was fresh and good and bad plenty of speed. She was fortunate in getting away flying, was well ridden and had considerable left at the finish. Canace got pocketed and badly interfered with shortly after the start. Wilson, however, never lost his head and by keeping close to the rail managed to get through on the stretch turn. Once clsar, the filly finished strong. Montgomery closed stoutly. On him McQuade rode a good race. Sim W. had no excnseB. The leaders simply ran too fast for him today. Alleviate was conceding a lot of weight and ran a fine race. H. S. Tobacco got off in a jam and never got straightened out. Fair Deceiver was worked out a mile after the rtce in 1 :43l. Tenole quit to a walk at the end. Uncas ran a bad race. Winner B. c, by Ben Stroma Prudence. Off at first break to a good start. Won easily;, second pulling np: third and fourth driving. Benueville was at his best and ran a high class race. He had a world of spead and broke Founds heart going the first five furlongs. After that b.9 was not lolly extended. Had Benueville been pressed he more than likely would have made a new record for the distance. Streamer ran his best race and is good. Rotterdam ran well too He was too much usad trying to keep up with Benneviile and Found the first part of it. Tab him for early action. Found is faint-hearted and whon she stopped she stopped all over. Perhaps her hard race of Tuesday hurt her. Scratched 148602Defendor II , 89. Corrected weights Found, 101. Brownie Anderson got away flying, had clear sailing and ran a gocd game race. It was much batter than she did her last out, Yoloco came fast under hard punishment at the end, but ho 9old not quite get up.. Basseda seems to be getting into form again. This filly has more lty than she has shown around here. Mont Eagle had a rough journey. Myrtle Gebaur did not nave a bit of speed. Mud seems to be her forte. Satan had speed but quite early. Winner Ch h, by Florentine Close the Door. Post 5 minutes. Start good: it was a driving finish. Mistral II. was much the best as the race was run and had to b3 to win. He was shut off and hampered at every turn but stood trouble gamely and finished strong. Periwig over-raced himself. He had more speel than usual and burg on like a bulldog. Prestar took the longest routo and ran a good race. He is at his best now and is an exceptionally good horse in the mud. Salvabla?s race would not do at all. He had speed but net enough for him and also quit badly at the end. Ha is a better horse than he has shown here and should be so tabbed. Lew Hopper got away poorly. Del Paso II. was doss to the leaders on the far turn.
