NOTES OF THE TURF. The stewards and judges at Oakland considered the ways of the jockeys riding at that track, and as a result of their deliberations announced Wednesday that jockey McCloskey was ruled off for pulling Katie Gibbons. Jockey J. Brown was awarded a Bimilar fate for not trying on Bio Chico October 18, and jockey Buchanan the same for dishonest rides on Rainier and Alicia. Warning was also given that any one offering a j xkey money for in formation about his mounts or attempting to influence him would be ruled off. Colonel W, E. Applegate has sold out his breeding interests in the Oakwood farm to his partner, Charles McMeekin. He will not be interested in the breeding business any more. A query concerning Dominos running at Washington Park was incorrectly answered in yesterdays issue of Daily Racing Foem When a two yoar-old in 1893 he won the Hyde Park Stakes at that track, and as a three-year-old ran unplaced in the American Derby of 1894.
