Vititoa was fortunate in being in the best going all the way and when he got ready to go to the front he had no trouble in getticg there. Owyhee, on the outBide all the way, finished with a tremendous rash and ran a good race. Sheppard rede a miserable race on Vincennes. This considered, the gelding was lacky to be third. Nailer closed stoutly. Chancery ran a bad race. So did Pat Garrett. The latter suffered from bad handling, Deing in the deepest going all the way. Princess Murphy showed speed. So did Maurice W. She showed a lot of speed, was well ridden and aftar going the first half mile had the others beaten. This is a fast filly and when at her best is liable to boat almost any horse at about five furlongs. Little Jack Horner did his beat. He was simply outclassed. OConnells race was below par, but be may be going back. May Beach is probably stale and ran nowhere near her best form. Debride ran a fair race. Emma M. showed no spaed. Neither did Canova, who did not look ready. Vititoa laid far oac of it th9 first mile, thaa began to move up gradually and when the stretch was reached was within strikin? distaice of Double Dummy. At this point Double Dummy seamed to be goin? well ia hind while Gaorga Le9 was under keen pressure. Under Vititoaa strong ride, howavar, tin latter repondadgamaly and eventually won in a high class way. Double Dnmmp was perhaps us 3d too much in tha firs; part of it. and in the final sixteenth he became tired aui swerved badly. Tilly had Sab Prathar down in the deepest going all the way. Winasr Blk. c, by Lord Esterling Doubt. OS at the first break to a fair start. It was a terrific drive between the first two; third, fourth and fifth were also hard at it. The Monk won in game fashion. He was under keen prassure the last throe furlongs. Mason rode a good, strong finish on him. Brownie Anderson got awa like a shot out of a gun, but dropped back into the bunch on the far turn. She came again stoutly in the stretch, and was only beaten through the action of the nod. Bonnivard and Man of Honor were both badly interfered with at the head of the stretch. Had Man of Honor been able to get through he would have bean a keen contender. Lomond showed a fine tarn of speed, bat stopped at the end. AUacoochea and Fly Lotta ara of no account. Scratched 15558 Felix Bard, 95. The Monk, place, evens; show, 2 to 5.
