GEORGE IiEE STILL WINNING. Jockey Vititoe won the first fonr races yesterday at Lakeside, and incidentally his employer. Senator J. S. OBiien, gave the ring a severe drubbing. The going was pecnliar, being good in fact, almost fast near the outside; but on tbe rail there waB plenty of mud, and if a horse had bad lnck enough, or if a boy was fat-beaded enough, to get into the sticky going there was no hope ior him Yitiioe was the first jockey to discover this and before the others became as observant ho had won fonr races. Yittitoes winniog mounts and the best pricrs against them were Antoni-etta, 6 to 1; Bert Davis, 5 to 1: Georgie, 2i tol, and George Lee, 7 to 5. The other winners were The Monk, 3 to 1 and Refugee, 30 to 1. There was a lot of speed in the race Georgie won and among tbe "also rans" will be found May Beach and OConnell. Georgie ontfooted her field all the way and had little or no trouble in winning. The race George Lee won was at a mile and a half and the game son of St. George Levee scored in his usual way. He seemed hopelessly beaten whilo going the first three-quarters of a mile but after that he ran over bis horses and after a hard drive beat Double Dummy about a half length. This is George Lees fourth successive win. Senator OBrien has burned up a fortune bet-tirg on Bert Davis in maiden races during the past summer and in tbe second event had a small wager on bim to beat an ordinary lot of selling platers. The black colt won easily end after be did Texas Smith ran him up 00 over bis entered price, wbich wa3 00. Mr. OBrien stood the raise and kept his horse but he did not like it very well.! The Monk and Brownie Anderson had a terrific battle for first money in the first race and Tbe Monk got the decision. There was nothing new reported in the Mc-Carren-McQuade-Harry Nutter affair yesterday.
