Won driving and oat to the last ounce; the next four were also under keen pressuio. Lennep ran far above her recent mark and was lucky to win. She faltered abiut the sixteenth post and for an instant seemed to be beaten, but in the last fifty yards ahe rallied and got up just in time to win. Astor showed his usual amount of speed and was right there all the way. Plantain finished stoutly and had he been able to get through on the inside he probubly would have won Jimp, from a bad bsninning, made up a lot of ground. So did Preandtir. Egbart plodded along at about the same gait all the way. Donna Bita acted somlyaid may be stale. KiDgs Highway ran another bad race. Winner Ch. g, by Harry OFallon May Kennedy. Post 4 minutes. Start good. Won pulling up. There was plenty of action behind the winner. OConnell was the best and was also ridden to perfection. Lines dropped in behind Little Jack Horner and Brulare at the three-eighthB post and stayed there until the stretch was reached. Then he shot the old horse to the front like a flash and won in a high-class way. Brulare showed fine speed and ran a good race. Little Jack Horner found the route too far for him and stopped badly in the stretch. Free Lady finished with a tremendous rush and would have been third in a few more stridoB. Wiggins hardly ran up to the mark. Yuba Dam could not get out of his own way. Perhaps the going was a handicap to him. -Scratched 142723Lula W., 99; 15588 Fintan, 99; 15221 Annie Oldfield, 104; 15674 Goebel, 107; 15645 Sutton, 107; 15645 Diggs, 104; 15352 Lucid, 104. Won easing up; it was a hard drive for second place. Latch Key showed speed galore, liked the soft going and won in a high-class way. Everything considered, Latch Keys price was out of line. The track conditions caused this. Josephine B ran a good race tinder poor handling. Mason was quite badly iujured when Fair American stumbled with him in the flm race. ThiB is why he could not do the filly justice. Volandies had no excusos. He tired badly under his heavy impost. Uhler seemed to be galloping under a stout pull down the backstretch, but when Hinkey called upon him ho had nothing left to respond with. Canace is not in her best form. She seems, also, to have a disliko for the mud. Bam Lazarus, Esq., seems to be of no present account. Scratched 15644 Holdnp. 102; 15649 Jim McCleevy, 105. Winco Blk. c, by Pirate of Penzance Breana. Off at the fitst break to a good start Won hand ridden and out to the last ounce; Becond and third driving to the limit. The Unknown is a colt of fair class and should make a useful three-year-old. He was outruu in the first part of the race bat worked his way gradually to the 1 ; , , i 1 front in a clever way. Kittie G. likes a muddy track and overraced herself. Alice Turner showed the most speed but was perhaps used too much in the first part of the race and then tired badly at the end. Lomond showed no speed. Throw his race out. Bonnivard does not amount to much. Man of Honor has had too much of it and Beems to have staled. Nettie Begent is not a? good as she was durinar the Harlem meeting. Scratched 15672 Felix Bard, 95; 15607 Onota, 95; 15627 Ophelia, 95. Overweights Alice Turner. 3 pounds. He ran a game race, being under punishment through the Inst three furlongs. Owyhee ran a fair race. Andes was shut off a half dozen different times and was generally poorly handled.
