KEENES HORSES. The horses ownea by James R. and Foxhall P. Eeene that were trained by James Rowe at Brookdale, are all in excellent condition. Cha-cornac, the Futurity winner, has almost completely recovered fiom the effects of the stlint that developed after his brilliant performance in that race, and takes daily exercise in one of the largest peddocks at Broi kdale. Voter, the fleetest horse on the American turf, and who shares with Imp the popular regard of the masses of the race course, is thoroughly enjoying a well earned rest. He iB turned out every day and iB so intelligent, docile and lovable that every toy on the place finds time to pay him a visit some time during the day. Voters vitality is simply amazing. He had a severe campaign as a tbree-year-old, was shipped across the Atlantic to England, where he was meBsed about and wofnlly mismanaged during his four-year-old period. He was re-shipped to this country last December a total wieck to all appearances and indications. Under the carefnl and judicious management of Mr. Bowo he began to recover his energies, and in midsummer he was sent to the post at Brighton Beach. In a raze of five furlongs, with 105 pounds up, Voter defeated a good field of the fastest splinters on the American turf. He met but a single defeat during the season. Imp lowered his colors in a race at Sbcepshead Bay. It was no disgrace to Voter, however, as I mp had defeated every horse of prominence that raced in the east las,t year. St. Cloud, who is now a gelding, appears to have permanently broken down in the near fore-pastern, but if he can be patched up, and there is no better master in the business than. Mr. Rowe, the probabilities aiethat 3t. Cloud will race in the future over the hurdles or in steeplechases. Uriel, who has bad a years rest, will be train ed again, ana, if he stands the preparation, will race again next year. Virginia Earle and R nnaway Girl are doing splendidly. The 1 Eeene yearlings are an extremely promising : lot; eo that the white with blue spots promises . to be as prominent next year as it has been in 1 the p ast Morning Telegraph.
