NOTES OF THE TURF. Kriss Kringle is once more back in hia old Btable at Latonia. This crack selling plater was aold at auction during the Lexington salea to J. H. McAvoy, trainer for W. E. Applegate. Whether Mr. McAvoy will train the horse next season or not is a matter of doubt. At all events, the horse was brought back from Lexington and put in the stable of Dr. B. L. Bird, his former owner. Cincinnati Enquirer. A yearling owned by Thomas Grean haa worked a remarkable first trial at Sheepabead Bay. The trainers and othera who witnessed the trial believe this young3ter, who is by Chorister Harpsichord, to be the best yearling tried at Sheepshead Bay. Julius Bauer is wintering at Lexington, He has tried many yearlings during hia career as trainer, but a black colt by St. George Mario Jansen, by Kingflaher, is reported to bj far away the superior to any infant racer that Mr, Bauer haa ever handled. Captain Sam Brown, of Pittsburg, who became the owner of Lady Inez at Woodard and Shanklins sale, has decided to breed her next year to Top Gallant, and Bhe ib now at Mr. John B. E wings farm, near Lexington,
