Won driving: second the same. Trumpet was pocketed to the stretch and had to come around on the outside of the field to get up. He had to be ridden hard at the eighth post to catch Kensington, but won with something in reserve at the end. Kensington showed plenty of speed, but Jenkins put up a poor finish. Oliver Mc ran well for five furlongs, but tired. The others are not of much account at present, although Mona-dour showed early speed and should be improved bv the race. Jean Beraud carried Imp along too fast to -uit her in the first part of the race and she seemed to be tiring when the stretch was reached but she hung on grandly and had her head in front at the furlong post, but Jean Beraud came again under Turner s energetic ride and won out in the last stride.
