She ran a game race and was bard ridden to stall off Janice. The latter ran her best race. Mary McCoy, in the middle of the field, met with much interference. Still he had speed enough to go ■around his field at the head of the stretch. He hung on when he caught Sarmatian and was driven out. Sarmatian handled his weight well and ran a fine race.. Carl Kahler appeared dangerous at the furlong post, but stopped in the final dozen strides. Maiden showed early speed, but quit when the pinch came. Quiz ran a poor race. Ginki finished well.
