Won easily; second and third were doing their hest. Papa Harry took the longest route, had clear sailing and won like a stake ; , horse. Julius Caesar seemed to be winning an eighth from home, but weakened under pressure at the end and barely lasted long enough to get second place. Donation ran the best race of the , lot and had he been able to get through in the. stretch could not have lost Mark this horse for early action over a distance of ground. Satan showed the most speed, but weakened badly in the stretch. Defender II. was sharply interfered with on the stretch turn. Forbush stopped on the tar turn, then came again in the stretch. It was an ugly mix-up on the first turn, anil jockeys Ruiz.. Narvaezand W. Waldo are .|uite badly hurt. Ross escaped with a severe shaking up. Bannockburn i- truly a grand race horse and seems to be in -uperb form at present. He simply loafed along under a stout pull all the way and was never fully extended. .U Gold did his best and ran a high-class race, but is nowhere near as good a horse as is Ban-uockburu. Great Bend took the shortest route and ran well as tar as he went, but in the last furlong he 1 ired. Cambrian made a .inick. sharp move toward the front on the tar turn and for an instant appeared to have a chance, but was no! in it when the real contention came. He raced with and made Manga quit in going the first half and then displayed rare sameness in stalling off Silverdalea rush at the end. ! Seldom is such a game youngster as Garry Hermann seen. Sdverd.de ran the best race of his . re. r and was handsomely ridden by Cay wood, who avoided the early pace and put up a powei -fill finish when the pinch came. Harrj Herendeen was lucky, well ridden and won like a good colt. If foul riding counts for anything Fred Hessig should have won off bj himself. wood broke with Uim from the outside and deliberately cut across the track interfering w it h everything W thin 1 each. This naturally caused a -harp mix-up in which Rio de Altar was badly ,v interfered with. Bui fori hi- the latter could not base lo-t and is a clacking good youngster. Lillie Pantlaud came like a flash in the final furlong. Begea seemed dangerous on the turn for home but weakened under pressure. The same can be said of Tenny Belle. St. Bluff had bad ,,l Luck in the 1 ce. Wilson snatched Gibson Girl up at the start when Caywood and Fred Hessig came cutting across the track. Caywood was fine. I *:u for hie rough work. Barrack is a good, game colt and ran a smashing good race. He was well handled by the veteran Pat McDermott. who took the shortest route and put up a powerful finish. Walkeushaw was slightly interfered with on the far turn and this may have cost him the race. He closed stoutly through the stretch and Caywood rode for all he was worth. Clara AVooley was roughly treated throughout. Annowan ran a cracking good race after he got straightened out and finished with a rush. Remp ran a good race as far as he went and should win soon. Guess Me was sharply shui off when going down the backstretch. There was a lot of interfering in this race throughout.
