Waiter, heavily backed, showed early speed, but died away in the stretch. Street Boy and Xerxes were green and did not know what was required. Her Ladyship closed fast through the last furlong. Motley ran a fair race, but could never get to the winner and was tiring at the finish. Lady Uncas showed speed, but lacked in condition. Kamara was unlucky and badly placed throughout. Iroquois Belle, shut out at the start, could never get to going fairly and the pace was too hot for her. Merito warmed up poorly aud showed no speed at any part of the race Lady of the Vale was outrun all the way. Scratched— 18649 Oneck Queen, 124 ; 18917 Eileen Daly, 106. Mayor Gilroy showed great speed but was worn out in pacemaking and gave it up at the stretch turn.
