NOTES OF THE TURF. G. W. McKee, Windsor, Ont.— The race in which Miss Sbanley was entered to run July 18 was declared off and all bets made on that race are off. Miss Shanley was entered in the sub. stituted race and won it, but it was a different race with different entries and had no relation to the race on which you bet. Your money back is all you are entitled to. W. J. C. City. — An entry is one or more horses. If a wager is made on a published entry of two or more horses and but one of the entry starts, the bet stands. E. H. S.. C. A. A.. City— A loses the bet. L. C, City. — A colt foaled December 31 is one year old the next day in racing law. Such a colt would not be eligible to race as a two-year-old with one foaled January 1 following.
