Ouomastus reversed his form suddenly and won in a high-class way. Hertnoso showed all of his usual speed and hung on longer than he usually does in the stretch. Sly was probably not up to a bruising race and is not in her best form. Georgie showed a lot of -speed but hung at the end. She will be hard to beat her next time out. Harry Duke got away j iu a tangle and never got straightened out. Marquette was far outclassed and finished where l she belonged. 1 Overweights Georgie, 24 pounds. 1 Ouomastus, place. 8 to 5; show. 1 to 3. At post 4 minutes. Start poor. The first thre* were closely bunched ] and driving to the limit. Heigh Ho was presented with a running start and won a lucky race. ] Had either L. T. Caton or Rival Dare been sent away on equal terms with Heigh Ho they would ] hnve beaten her. Bival Dare, perhaps, ran the best race. She had a rough journey, but finished ] resolutely under pressure. L. T. Caton hung a trifle in the last twenty yards. He seems to be ] in exceptionally good form at present. Miss Shanley showed her usual amount of speed. Tildy 1 Ann ran a good game race. OConnell seemed stiff and sore going to the post and only ran a 1 short distance before he began to prop. , Scratched-18234 Alice B.. 102; 19472-Josephine B.. 102: 19629 Guess Me. 102; 188623Dandy „„„„¥T. Won easily : second and third whipped out. Globe II. showed more speed that usual, fenced to perfection and was never fully extended. He i.-a crackerjack at the jumping game. Passe Partout found the jumps higher | than those at Hawthorne and did not do as well as he did at the latt-r place. Last Past finished | Btoutly and ran a airly good race for him. The boy on Reno wasted much time interfering with Globe 1 F. Lord Chesterfield and Hueston got a bad looking fall at the third jump but nothing serious resulted from it. Lord Chesterfield is a doubtful betting proposition at his best, and the ring took liberties, offering a liberal show price against him. Globe II.. place. I to 5; show. out. Orimar was well handled and ran a high class race. Winkheld had John A. Morris beaten at the head of the stretch and purposely drew the finish fine. John A. Morris showed bis usual amount of speed, but hung when struck with the whip. He is a free running horse with a fine turn of speed, but cannot stand punishment. Boney Boy has improved since his last race. Tayon seemed to sulk after passing the haif mile ground. The other two cut Orimar, place, out ; show, out. John A. Morris, place, 2 to 5; show, out. Silverdale was best, but came near r being beaten through a bad ride. Tally seemed to be rattled and lost all control of Silverdale in 1 the stretch and the colt won simply through his own courage. Money Muss is speedy, but possibly faint-hearted, and hung at the end. Kuhn lost much ground with him by making a wide b stretch turn. For a new beginner Satin Coat ran a smashing good race. He is a big, good-looking youngster and should win soon. Henry Burt had a rough journey and ran a game race. 1. Tenriy Belle showed her usual amount of speed. Sad Sam ran out at the head of the stretch. Scratched 19732 Robert Waddell, 91. Overweight Money Muss. 3 pounds; Natural Gas, 4 ; Corn 1 Cut, 3. Silverdale. place, out. Papa Harry overraced himself and under clever handling barely _ lasted long enough to win. Blue Lick had no excuses and ran his best race. Owensboro was right there all the way. Catastrophe is seemingly a bad horse these days. He took the short route and simply failed for lack of speed. Aloha II. was never prominent. Lady Britannic was badly interfered with on the first turn. Still she had but little chance with Patterson up. Scratched-19737 Lomond, 92. Corrected weights— Lady Britannic, 101.
