to get up Maryland Reserve ran a good race for him He is game and was under a hard drive the last three furlongs Patroon was sailing ont in front on the far turn and looked all over a winner passing the threefnrlong post But on the stretch bend he bolted Merriman seems to be of little or no account However Coburn did not ride him to the best of advantage earlyScratched24630 and the colt had Bridge may not have been quite up to a bruising race He was unable to keep up in the first part of it and under the whip swerved badly in the stretch Miracle II took the longest route and finished the way she likes best showed a great improve ¬ ment over her last race She set a terrific pace and hung on like glne at the end Robert Wad dell conceding a lot of weight to all the others ran another grand race He looked in distress passing the half mile grrund but under severe punishment was not to be donied Advance Guard was hardly himself Bo is a hard horeo to rido and Coburn could not do him up with tho leaders all tho way Otis seemed unable to handle Trebor in the stretch and let him swerve badly Ho was clear of every ¬ thing at the time however and caused no interference Martin who rode Plead lodged a claim of foul against Trebor but it was not allowed Plead runs best from behind and Martin made a mistake by going to the front with her Blue Lick tired in tho stretch Radford did not
