Cameron, although he won, gave sure evidence of stateness and was tiring badly and swerving in the last Bixtenth. Caughnawaga ran very gamely and finished strongly. He is a big, lumbering colt and a light lad was unable to do him justice. Numeral displayed brilliant speed and stuck to his work unexpectedly well and is probably above the average. Anak favors a soft track but was going fast at tbe finish. Glen Water was hustled off his stride early. He is distinctly partial to a heavy track, however. Peninsula wants light weight and a distance of ground. Hin-dred, a grand looker, big and high in flssb, is being raced into condition and is evidently coming on fast on todays showing. Andv Williams ran in improved form. Scratched 28403 City Bank, 115. Overweights- Anak, 5" pounds; Calgary, 1. nameron, show. 2 to 5. Caughnawaga, show, 1 to 2. Numeral, show. 6 to 1. Decanter, lncky and cleverly ridden, finished with a ruBh. but was lucky to win from Morningsida, which was shut off on the stretch turn and apparently beaten, but came again suddenly and was rapidly overhauling the winner, which had gained a long lead at a critical point. Smoke ran.in greatly improved form and lasted longer than UBual, still her race was far balow her best form. St. Finnan was badly, bandied throughout and very unlucky. Katherine C, lucky and skilfully ridden, put up a game finish. Notlimah, vastly improved after a long let up, ran well, but iB probably best on a heavy track. Cast Iron failed right at the end-He has bad ankles and feet. Tcbula, off poorly, got a timid ride, but finished fast and will beat this kind hereafter. Batyah.bnt for being in a pocket in the last furlong, would have been placed and was going fastest at the end. Autolight and Paul Clifford hooked up in the stretch and f ought a desperate battle for supremacy. The long delay at the post favored him and proved disastrous to Modrine, which had been prominent in all false breaks. These two, when good, far outclass the others. Bold Knight, which received a bungling ride, came very fast at the end. Potente and Annie Thompson covered a lot of unnecessary ground in the race. The first named evidently is prepared for a good showing over a longer distance. 81y and Satire both succumbed o the fast early pace. Belle of Troys race waB only a mild exercise gallop, although McAddie set a terrific pace for the first three-eighths, after which McDonalds mare pulled away with great ease and only cantered for the remainder of the journey. McAddie had been working very fast and but for having run away ix miles the other morning while at exercise might have given the winner a better argument. Agnes D. finished strongly. Alfred Vargrave had no chance with the ride. He was under the -whip throughout. The others were badly strung out in the last half .
