WORTHS OFB-EEINGS. The Worth Jcckey Clnbs fall meeting of fifteen days premises much in the way of splendid racing. The condition book now in the hands of the printer contains many attractive handicap and purse races. During the first nine days the Worth October Handicap, at a distance of one mile, with ,CCOadded ; tbe Illi-noio Handicap, ,000 added, one and one-oiahth miles. End the Blue Island Handicap, 81,000 added, one mile and a quarter, are special events that will attract tbe better class of horses. Baces of the value of 00, 00 and 58CO are numerous through the book. Col. W. S. Barnes has applied from Lexington for stable room for fifteen horses at Worth, and as rccm had been reserved for bim, Secretary Hiller wired him to ship whenever ready. Col. Barnes hors8 have had a long rest at the Melbourne Stud farm, and aro now fresh and ready to race, and will be a valuable acquisition to the number of large stables now racing here. Among the list aro Lady Elite, Fancy Wood, Autumn Leaves, Scarlet Lily, Pribsloffo and other good ones. The Worth officials are considering the feasibility of giving the no recall" flag a trial during the meeting. It is said Ftarter Dwyer is partial to that system of starting, and it may only be a matter of time until it is adopted permanently, both cn the eastern and western tracks. Presiding Judge M. N. The track, which had grown up with grass, is now in good condition and will be very fast when the meeting opens. The artificial lake built around the flag pole in the cante field is completed and the wjrk of beautifying the course is about finished. The stable room has all been assigned, and everything is now in readiness for the opening October 10.
