ran a remarkably good race and mieht have won with a competent rider His improvement was probably due to tho difficult track Mnrnna finished in the mud next to the rail and that anchored him Sea Lion Phyllis injudiciously forced the pace in the worst going and Ranch floundered badly on the tiring filly at the end fluachuca finished very fast after making up much ground and swerving all over the stretch Legal Maxim displayed much speed and helped to tire out the pacemaker Evander was prominent early but quit badly after going the first half Commissioner Forster was hopelessly outrun and
