THE WORTH HANDICAP Secretary Edward Jasper of the Worth Jockey Club announces the conditions of the Worth Handicap which will be the leading attraction of the opening day of the Worth spring meeting With 2C50 added it is an important stake and should at ¬ tract a large entry list It closes April 17 and the conditions are as follows A handicap for threeyearolds and upward En ¬ trance 10 each and 40 additional to start with 2000 added of which 400 to second and 200 to third horse fourth horse to save entrance and starting fees Entries to1 close Thursday April 17 weights to appear Saturday April 26 and declara ¬ tions to be made Wednesday April 30 by 1030 a m Winners of a race other than selling after publica ¬ tion of weights to carry five pound extra One and onesixteenth miles milesIn In this connection comes also an announcement that the Worth Jockey Club will open in July a liberal list of stakes for the Worth autumn meet ¬ ing This is an important move and one that will meet the unqualified approval and support of western owners It increases the importance of the track and is a step in the right direction
