NOTES OB" THE TURF. Charles S. Wilson, who has been with W. E. Ap-plegate, Jr., as commissioner, has left Cincinnati for San Francisco, taking with him Andy Blakelys jockey, Pieratt, who was severely injured on Lady Meddlesome at the recent Latonia meeting. Mr. Wilson has had a successful trip to Cincinnati, and purchased Beau Imperial of H. M. Ziegler and a highly tried filly from Luther: Dickorson, which he ships to Andy Blakely to train for him.: Vtand C2L2 W. W. Darden, the Nashville turfman, partner with John W, Schorr in the ownership of severa noted performers, and whose great racehorse, Algol, is now in the stud of T. C. McDowell, is in Lexington, Ky to attend to fall thoroughbred sales. He is looking for highbred young broodmares to breed to Algol. The string of H. M. Ziegler has been shipped from Latonia to Lexington to go into winter quarters at Highland Farm. During the week trainer Hughes will remove the yearlings which have been broken by Dan OBrien from the old Kentucky Association Course to the farm. SArthur Featherstone shipped to New Orleans last Monday from Washington the following horses: Moranda, Emshse, Aranium, Benefit, Bedlam and Bondage. Lady Potentate wont in the same car, as did Criterion, now owned by OConnor and Co. Trainer John Hall says that he will keep the Pugh string at Latonia all winter. He is in Stable No. 14 and has rented some paddocks on the adjacent property in which the horses will be permitted to run out on nice days. Hinsdale, which has been sick at Latonia, is rounding to under the care of Dr. Park. When he recovers he will be sent to California.
