Karabel closed a big gap, but was swerving very badly in the last quarter, seriously interfering with Parsifal. The latter got away poorly and made up much ground and but for interference would have won. Buck Taylor, nearly left, closed an immense gap and was running over the others at the end and waB best. Intropido went well. Lexington Pirate is improving. A way poorly ho improved his position steadily .throughout Harry Thatcher and Young Morollo quit in the last quarter. Won driving; second easily. Resin, particularly favored by the mud, traversed the worst going throughout and finished fast, but was lucky to beat Canrjo. The latter followed the pacemaker;closely to the stmtch where sho forged to the front and was apparently a sure winner, but was caught napping. She came again very fast, but could not quite get up. The Weaver forced the pace. throughout, was under the whip in the last half and generally messed about. Arthur Ray, nearly left, was rushsd througn the bad going next to the rail, taking the lead at the half, but tired at the end. He was easily best and is a greatly improved horse. Quiz from a good start, forced the pace throughout, drew decisively clear at the end and was best. Troy followed the pacemaker closely, held on well and ran an extra good race. Bedner closed a big gap from a bad start. Ned Dennis worked a rough journey, received a weak ride and was unlucky to lose third place. Mocorito, away poorly and apparently anchored in the first part of the race in the sticky going, was gaining in the last quarter. Bard Burns is in bad form. Araboquicklv took a long and winning lead, which he retained without urging-and was practically cantering through the last furlong. Gaviota broke slowly, as usual, and delayed too long in gotting into sharp action with the pacemakor and could never get up after stumbling on the stretch turn. She put up a game race and was closing up very f ast. Gold Bell ran a dull race, was in difficulties early, unexpectedly failed to stay at the end and was evidently outclassed. Elliott was a good colt in this race and will be heard from No show batting on first threw. 3l4: FLFm KAOJS-l 1-8 Mles. Purse 00. 3-year-olds and upward. Handicap. Ind Horses A Wt St St Vi 5 StrFin . The Fretter went right out from the start and gained a tremendous winning lead in tho first qnarter, the entire field behind him waiting. The winners advantage was so great that he practically finished alone and was probably much the beet in the going. Nones, under waiting tactics, fell out of the race in the first half, but closed up very fast in the last quarter and is evidently in his best form. Siddoas closed an immense g p in the last half and was particularly favored by the going. Lord Badge laid out of the race for the first quarter, after which he wns sent along at a terrific pace to overtake the winner, cutting down his big lead in a jiffy and tired badly in consequence.
