He swerved over to the inside in the last fifty yards and carried Robert G. I Lansing and Maltster with him. Robert G. LanBing was much used in chasing Insolence. Maltster " tired in the last furlong and finished in the deep going. Insolence was on the extreme outside for the entire trip and lost four or five lengths by going wide at the turn into the homestretch. The latter ran in improved form, but faltered after getting to the let-der, then came again at the end under a hard drive. Ahumada was under a drive all through the last furlong, bus was speedy in the first part of the race and under a pull. Barbara Freitchie was cut off and knocked out of it at the start. Glennevis came to the extreme outside at the turn into the homestretch and finished very fast. Pirate was tiring at the end. Welcome Light saved ground at the turn into the homestretch.
