Princess Tulane was speedy throughout and Redfarn outrode Fulor when it came to a drive. He put up a great finish and got Princess Tulane up in the last stride. Agnes Mack showed the most early speed, and it appeared that she wonld win easily when at the furlong post, bnt Fullers attempt to draw a fine finish cost her the race. Apple Sweet was under punishment all through the last furlong. Lexington Bess tired. Epidemic couid never improve her position. Scratched 36741Fading Light, 101. Princ S3 Tulane, show, veus. Carl Kahler broke running from the middle of the field, went around on the extreme outside and raced Alpaca into submission in the first half, but was driving to the limit at the end to stall off Tom Maybin. The latter came aronud the leaders at the stretch turn, finished with a fine rush and would have won in another stride. Paul Crejton saved ground all the way, hung on well at the end and outgamed Alpaca in a sharp drive. The latter displayed much early speed. Shrino made up a lot of ground while rounding the far turn and then tired. Scratched 36707 Basileus, 104 ; 6963 Daddy Bender, 91. Overwoights Benmora, 1 pound ; Prestonian, 2i. Hargis came with a rush in the last furlong, caught St. Tammany and Pageant tiring and got up in the last stride. St. Tammany ran a good race, but just managed to last long enough to got second place from Pageant. The latter finished fast and would have been second in another stride. Nitrate was in a pocket for the first half, his weight told on him in the stretch run and he tired. Port Royal showed the most early speed, but Helgesen fumbled with his lines while rounding the far turn and Port Royal bolted to the outside fence. He would have won but for this. Redfern never made a move with Warranted for the first mile, but moved up fast while rounding the far turn and caueht Major Mansir at the furlong post and outgamed him in the final drive. Gannon made his run too soon with Major Mansir. He would probably have won had he waited until in the last quarter. Erne closed a big gap in the last half and finished fast and boat Adelante in the last stride. The latter appeared like a winner when a furlong out. but unexpectedly tired. Hayward Hunter was cut off at the far turn while going the second time around and was knocked out of it. Biief ran a good race. Little Vrmt nnit after running well to the stretch. LEtrenue displayed a superior order of speod and made a show of her field. She is a quick breaker. Winkfiold was eaBing her up at the end. Sheriff Bell closed a big gap and outgamed W. J. Deboe when it came to a drive. The latter weakened under pressure. The others tired. Overweights LEtrenne, 2 pounds. Annie Lauretta was crowded back in the last twenty yards when the winner swerved over in front of her. Moabina quit badly in the run home. Joe Doughty was under restraint for the first half mile, then finished fast. Great Star showed early speed. Overweights Great Star, li pounds. Ecome, show, 2 to 1. Leenja, show, 1 to 2.
