Bennett beat the barrier and Troxler made the most of the advantage. His mount sustained his speed unexpectedly wll and was clearly best. Instar raced into prominence quickly and finished fast under a weak ride. Isabelita closed a big gap early and finished fast and gamely. Stunts was carried out on tho stretch turn, but finished going fast. Alta G. was nearly left, took the longest way around and ran a cracking cood race. There was much crowding on the stretch turn in which Brennus was forced back. Scratched 36956 Philaernus, 106. Corrected weights Tamm, 112; Leash, 104. Winner B. c, by Golden Garter Pink Cottage trained by M. J. Daly. Went to post at 2:39. At post 5 minutes. Start fair. Won driving; second tho same. Golden Cottage ran a good race, was lucky throughout and outstayed Erema and Mildred Schultz after a long stretch drive. Erema got off running and led to the stretch, where an incapable jockey made a mess of the ilnish. Mildred Schultz, away poorly and carried wide on the stretch turn by the winner, ran a game race, but failed to quite get up. Jim Gore II. was bumped on the far turn and fell out, losing six lengths, but came around on the outside and finished with a rush and was probably best. Evander went surprisingly well on a fast track and must be in very good form. Tyranus, away badly, closed up ground steadily. Breton and The Miller ran good races. Hungarian is ont of place in sprints and had no chance at the start. Scratched 37070 King Dellis, 106; 36714 Troy, 101; 37C02 Buzzer, 98. Correctod weights Golden Cottage, 106; Evander, 100. Miko Rice appeared and was evidently short and should improvo greatly over this showing. He ran well on tho flat, but lost ground when taking hurdles. Duke of York got away badly and ran on the extreme outside throughout and was evidently not ready. Favorito ran a game race and is improving. Dagmar tired early. Byron Rose was lucky at the start and in his stride,! but was reserved in behind the fast, early pace to the stretch, where he came through next to tho rail and won going away. Money Muss and Sad Sam forced a terrific early pace and the former drew clear on the strotch turn and appeared like winning when straightened out, but tired right at the end. He is in good form and was best singlehanded. Yellow Tail was held together in the first half, made a surprisingly strong movn in the last quarter and is very good. Sad Sam was overweighted and succumbed to the fast, early pace. Lady Kent was going well at the end. Bragg was hopelessly outrun. Byron Rose, show. 1 to 5. Money Muss, show. 2 to 5. Lizzie Rice got away running and led throughout, but was tiring at the end and barely lasted. Mi Reina, away poorly and crowded to tho rail early, went around the field and closed up with a tremendous rush and was best today. Warte Nicht came along fast at the ehd. St. Winifride is improving, was always prominent and appeared like winning when a furlong out, but tired in the final sixteenth. Bell Reed is. a pronounced quitter and was early discouraged. Ulloa was poorly ridden. Donnelly waited a long time before making his move and Ulloa finished fast. Mission was also badly ridden and jerked up on the stretch turn, but finished going fast on his own courage. Rosarie made up ground too fast and tirsd in the stretch under a weak finish. July.
