Lathrop closed up strongly from a bad beginning. Cologne II. was used too much in the first part of the race and tired. Deveric was high in flesh. Julietta B. pulled up lame. Mabel Hurst ran a very good race.Cclosing up fast in the final furlong. Fairy Dell came with a rush in the final sixteenth, but found the distance too short.
