Hodge was off. well in motion and,showed the most speed all the way. Haack took the long route and kept him on the extreme outside throughout. Mauser was as easily the best of the others and saved ground on all the turns Exapo ran in much improved form, is rounding to and should soon win; Glendon evidently did not like the going, showed scant speed and trailed along in the rear all the way. Won handily; second easily. Andes was off with the leaders, raced White Owl into submission while rounding the far turn and had enough left to stall off a challenge from OHagen in the stretch run. The latter was on the extreme outside all the way and finished gamely under a hard drive. Zack Ford saved ground at the turn into tho homestretch, but tired whon called on. White Owl showed a lot of speed for five furlongs. Inspector Shea and Loka wheeled when tho barrier was released. Scratched 37081 Carl Kahler, 110; S7152 Censor, 105. OHagen, show, 3 to 5. Rough Rider finished fast under a hard drive and ontgamed Flintlock when the pinch came. The latter was on tho outside all the way. Wealth showed a lot of speed and was used up sotting the pace. Carl Kahler was bumped into and crowded back whilo rounding thw far turn whs under a hard drive all of the last quarter and just managed to last long enough to stall off Telamon The latter finished very fast ana would have been scond in another stride. BensonCald-well gradually wore the leaders down while rounding the far turn and caught Chickadee at the furlongr post and the pair fought it out to tho end. Benson Caldwell stood the final drive bast and got np in the last few strides. Chickadee tired in the last ten yards, but ran a good race. Ceylon was under a hard drive all of the last quarter. Dr. Fannie tired after running well to the stretch Wissendine got caught in a jam at the start and was crowded out of it. Simoon was reported to have bled after his race Wednesday. This may account for his poor showing today. Pay the Fiddler moved up on the turn, but quit in the stretch. Scratched 37170 Swordsman, 108. Overweights Dr. Fannie, 2 pounds. Chickadee, show, 6 to 5. Princess Tulane caught the landers tiring in the stretch run, cama with a rush in the final furlong and was going away at the end. Tioga was used up in chasing Latuka. She showed a lot of early speed, but tired when called on strongly. Sweet Nell was on tho extreme outside for tho entire trip and ran a good raoe. Latuka tired as if short.
