Erema was lucky, had clear sailing and outclassed tha field. She indulged Harry Thatcher with the lead to the stretch where she drew to the front without urging. Tyranus closod up much ground from a poor start and was going fast at the end. Berendos ran well and was evidently favored by the going. Educate made the running for the first half and held on in improved fashion in the final drive. King Dellis closed a big gep from a bad start. Edinborongh ran a poor race. . m Scratched 36387 Baffled, 101; 37056 Leffal Maxim, 99. Tocolaw was given a lucky start and, being skillfully ridden, quickly assumed command and leading throughout with something in reserve, was going away fast at the end. Hocoo followed the winner closely and ran a vary game race. Planet got away badly and soon raced into prominence, came fast in the stretch , with a great burst of spaed and under bad handling swerved across the track in the last sixteenth. Libbio Candid is a good looker and should improve. Tocolaw, show, out. Hocao, show, 1 to X. Planet, show, out. r7 61 THIRD RACE 1 Mile and 50 Yards. Purso 00. 3-year-olds and upward. j i O Selling. . St. Sever forced the pace throughout and stood a long drive home in good stylo, but was swerving-badly at the end. Platonius was lucky, saved ground on the stretch turn and finished fast. Galanthus, nearly left, went wide on all turns, losing ten lengths, being weakly handled and just failed to get up. Nallie Forest was always prominent, but had no chance at the end, being in close quarters. Larry Wilt closed a gap in the last six furlongs. Lode Star sulked. Hungarian is in poor form. Elliott was skillfully ridden, had clear sailing and a lncky start, stole a long lead on the far turn and held on gamely to the finish. He appeared unable to stride freely in the going, probably outclassed his field and is undoubtedly a high class colt on a fast track. Lord Badge, poorly ridden and badly roughed on the far turn, finished wall and should have won. Dnrazzo tired in the last quarter after being hard held for six furlongs. Esherin, nearly left, closed a trnnnndous gap and ran a remarkable race covered ; . CONTINUED ON FIFTH IAGE, OAKLAND FORM CHART-CONTINUED. with mud. The Fretter and Antolight went a good seven furlongs. Claude was away badly and carried hopelessly wide on the first turn and was easing up at the end. Kenilworth ran a waiting race and failed to etny. Corrigan is in bad form. F. W. Brode showed early speed, but quit badly. Scratched 37210 Diderot, 103; 371243Arabo, 97. Lady Kent indulged Botany with the lead to the stretch, where she dashed to the front, winning with something in reserve. BotaDy forced a terrific pace, is at his best and hold on in unexpectedly game fashion. Bark-lyite was simply downed on a speed basis, but ran a pood race in spite of the disconraging hot pace and repeated interference. The Pride was closing up fast on the extreme outside at the end. The Buffoon found the journey too short and will give a good account of himself at a longer distance. Ed Adack will win in this going when properly placed.
