Colonel Strathy was presented the race at the start. Off two lengths in front of the field he simply cantered all the way. Hart D. made a determined bid in the final eighth, but could not get np. Faith Ward was much the best, revelled in the sloppy going and held the field safe all the way. Battus ran a fair race, but was doing his best at the finish to stall off Pat Garretts determined rush. The latter ran in improved form. Little Tommy Tucker ran his race on his own courage, as Blair was of no assistance to him. The others were never in the hunt. . Postillion was doing his best at the finish to stall off Frank Kesinger. The latter closed up fast in the final sixteenth. The others were always outrun. Madeline G. was coming fast at the finish. Facade had no mishaps other than a weak ride.
