Start good, Won easily; second the same. John Peters was at homo in tho going, displayed the most speed ali tho way and was never in trouble. Mrs. Frank Foster made up a lot of ground while rounding tho far turn, but was tiring at the finish. LEtrenne did not appear to be able to extend herself freely in the going. Winkfield kept her on the inside all the way. Brannigan stumbled and Battiste pulled him up. Tho winner pulled up sore. Scratched 371873St. Cuthbert, 109; 37134 Alpaca, 107. Jorry Hunt ran in improved form and was under a hard drive all of the last quarter. Arachne tired as if short. She showed much early speed and the race should improve her. This pair ran like a team all tho way, fought it out all of the last furlong and Petunia outgamed Dick Bernard in the deciding struggle. Petunia saved ground at the turn into tho homestretch, while Dick Bernard came wide. Bride was under a drive all of the last furlong. Lou Woods moved up fast while roundingthe far turn and appearad dangerous at tho furlong poet, but tired in the last sixteenth and was driving to the limit at the end to stall off Satin Coat. The latter was on the inside for the first mile and then came wide into the homestratch, but finished fast and would have been second in another stride. Peat was crowded back at the start, and Winkfield waited until the first turn, where he cut the corner and saved a lot of ground, Ho was on the inside to the far turn and then went around the leaders and fought it out with Denny Duffy in the last furlong and outgamed him in tho final drive. Denny Duffy ran a good race, but swerved over into the deep going in the last sixteenth. Aratoma showed a lot of early speed, but found the journey too far.
