Blueblaze displayed 1 the most "speed at all stages, was never in trouble and had plenty in reserve at the finish. Eliza Dillon ran well and was easily the best of the others today. Zack Ford was under a drive all of the last furlong. Wissendine and Marion Lynch had a rough trip, were cut off a couple of times and had to take 1 the overland route. Jerry Hunt saved ground at the turn into the homestretch, but Donegan put up a weak finish. Optional ran out at the far turn and was as dry as a bone when going to the post.
